About Us

CandleWick, Inc. and CandleWick Catering is owned and operated by Jo Ball and Danna Hudgins. Both reside in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

We were members of the "Hospitality Committee" at our church, where catering church receptions, wedding receptions, rehersal dinners and many other church luncheons became a great training ground for our business today. Friends, family and others would make the same comments; "you two should do this for a living...your food is delicious!"

So...after many discussions, we took a leap of faith and CandleWick Catering was formed in 2001.

Both working out of our homes and working part-time, we gradually grew to the point that we were able to rent commercial kitchen space. While we love doing wedding receptions, corporate receptions and rehersal dinners, we also have a growing base of satisfied commercial customers where we provide sandwich trays, box lunches, breakfast selections and hot entrees.

Our growing staff continues to provide excellence in service and quality of taste. We take pride in every detail to deliver that "homemade taste" we are famous for.
